The Community Advocate (CA) is an on-site living role that serves as a key communication link between participants and Mary’s Home staff, helping to maintain a positive learning and living environment throughout program transitions. They oversee the Peer Leadership Team, manage safety and operations within the community, and meet with participants to identify community and safety needs. The CA provides assistance with community concerns, answers inquiries, and resolves issues promptly and efficiently. Additionally, they may develop programs or projects for participants while ensuring adherence to Mary’s Home policies and procedures. Their role is essential in fostering a supportive and structured community environment.

The Sonographer plays a vital role in providing quality patient care by using sonographic equipment to identify and observe areas of concern for diagnosis. They conduct scans, write reports, and collaborate with providers and healthcare professionals. Responsibilities include maintaining equipment and supplies, preparing and sterilizing exam rooms, and using independent judgment to determine if additional imaging is needed. The Sonographer also assists with medical administrative tasks as assigned by the Medical Coordinator and Clinic Director.

They are responsible for recruiting volunteers, creating meaningful volunteer experiences, and implementing systems for effective volunteer management across the organization.

Family Advocacy and Child Watch Internship: View Full Job Description Here
The Family Advocacy & Child Watch Intern will be engaged in a win-win opportunity, by supporting the world of Family Advocacy (including Child Watch) at Mary’s Home while also gaining invaluable experience from a residential program setting to enrich her career path. The FA & Child Watch Intern will have direct client interaction with both adults and children, will be creating case notes on those interactions, and will be coached in how to grow more skillful in her partnerships with clients. When serving in the capacity of Child Watch Day Lead, the FA & Child Watch Intern will be responsible to provide dependable, safe, secure, and nurturing care to the resident children for up to 4-hour shifts, supervising a team of 2-6 other adult volunteers. There is a potential opportunity to explore emotional regulation, ABA techniques, and assessments with the children during the Child Watch workshops, including curating material for the development of the volunteer Child Watch Team in trauma-informed care.

The Admissions Intern will be engaged in a win-win opportunity, supporting the complex world of Admissions at Mary’s Home while also gaining invaluable experience from a residential program setting to enrich her career path. The Admissions Intern will have direct client interaction with applicants, will be creating notes on those interactions, and will be coached in how to grow more skillful in partnerships with potential clients. While Admissions will be the primary focus for this intern, there are many other potential areas of service/need including Child Watch, supporting the Mary’s Home Academy, completing administrative work, event planning, and supporting the Mary’s Home team in various ways.
